Description: Description of complaint: ....sorry accidentally touched the send button on my tablet and my complaint was sent without as much info as i can recall .... so i was saying that the living room fan fell barely missing a guest in our house (actually we rent) causing him to fall backwards off a small stool and hitting his head on the tile floor and needing to go to the hospital. there are also 2 ceiling fans in the lanai that appear to only be attached by wires and not the actual screws because there is space between the ceiling and the fan attachment. we are afraid to turn them on because they wobble so much. we have talked to the management company for this property numerous times to no avail and to their maintenance department. we have complained from the first day we moved in about exposed electrical outlets, light switches, blinds falling down in the kitchen (1st night), dishwasher flooding kitchen (starting 1st night), faulty electrical throughout the house both inside and outside, water pouring into bathroom through the red heat lamp when it rains causing water damage and mold not to mention the extreme electrical hazards this could cause (notified property manager and maintenance immediately), after months of complaining, because they didn't feel it was urgent, they caulked the roof but did not address any other issues. we also had issues with our pool pump that caused it to turn dark green and unable to see through the water. it looked like a nasty pond for months before the pool guy finally convinced then to replace the pump and me threatening to contact an attorney because the property manager and owners are in violation of the lease. we really need someone to inspect this house before one of us or a guest is seriously hurt or in danger. we have 2 teenage daughters that use the bathroom with the red heat light and water damage to the electrical system. also monica is disabled. she has multiple sclerosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc just to give you an idea of what she has to live with. she seldom leaves the house because of the amount of pain she is in and even then it's mainly for doctor appointments and god forbid there was to be an emergency, she may not be able to get out of the house in time, depending on if it's one of her good or bad days. we do have some pictures but i'm seem to be unable to upload them to my tablet. ...... i'm sure i've left things out but right now i'm just typing off the top of my head because i don't have the list here in front of me. this house really does have some serious health and safety issues / violations!!! had we known this in advance we never would have leased this property. thank you and please call 478-737-5511 if you have any questions. submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. reese & monica graves 478-737-5511 email address: [email protected]

Description: Description of complaint: when i originallt moved in june, i put deposit down and was planned to move in the next weekend. i came with truck and movers and the apartment was not in move in condition. counter tops were ruined, stove was in peices and fridge was rusted and had raoches crawling out of it. the master bathroom shower was completely disgusting. at that point i was not willing to move in, i was promised that everything would be taken car eof and ready for move in the following weekend. i explained to them that i would have to pay an entir emonths rent for storage of $145 and thats not fair to me because i was promissed that weekend move in date. i was told by front office that they would do everything they could to get that money returned to me since is was completely their fault. make a long story short i never received that money. the roach issue was a huge concern from the get go and i was promised that they would professionally bomb the apartment and replace all old cabinets. the only thing they did was buy home bombs from home depot (i could have done that) which obviously did not solve the issue. since june i have been promised new cabinets (still have yet to see them), professional pest control (never has happened) as well as multiple little things in the apartment that need fixing. my biggest concern though is in the master bedroom, everytime it rains water comes in from the wall on the floors (lots of water) they have been aware of this situation for over a month and "fixed it" after i threatened them to contact code enforcement. when complaint was made i told them the water is comming from the outside in and they choose to just replace the dry wall on the inside that had gotten soggy. i told them that that "fix" would not solve the issue and they stuck firm that it would. needless to say it rains every day in the evening and every day i have to put towels and move my furniture so that it does not get ruined and they have ignored all my request to get it fixed. i've had enough! not only am i constantly moving furniture around to save my personal items, there is mold that is showing everywhere. i am a single mom of 2 kids and this can be very hazardous and all they do is laugh when i tell them my concerns in regards to the mold, telling me that no one will get sick?!?!?! this past sunday my upstairs neighbors water heater broke and water was filled in my apartment. they turned off her water heater (left her with no hot water) so that the leak would stop and she has still yet to get a replacement. this complex is out of control and is having their tenants whom pay rent every month living in conditions that are completely unexceptable and unsafe!! please contact me asap in regards to these many issues. thanks in advance. submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. jessica joseph 813-446-7767 email address: [email protected]

Description: Description of complaint: we have asked them three weeks ago and they didnt do anything till now.its unsanitary and unsafe for my family to live here. there is roaches in the bathroom and ants around the sink in the kitchen....the front and back door become a waterfall when its rains and if u go in the front bedroom there is termites, why you would ask is because there is wood dust from the walls. i told the landlord and all she said was we can spray that. the landlord has today(sept 4th) has put roaches bait out after i asked two weeks ago.there is a window in the living that has never been fixed and in the kitchen the cabinets have water spots from leaking. when u go into the bathroom where the water heater you can see the outside( have pics ). now what im writing for is because these things havnt been fixed we aren't paying .....what should we do....but the landlord says we will be evicted and it will go on our record...but we are moving because it isn't sanitary for my family. if we leave will this go on our records. i have pics i can email them to you from my email, because my computer wont let me do the other way..... christina schramm 813-770-6303 email address: [email protected]

Description: Description of complaint: for 2 months we have been subjected to a plethora of unsafe living living conditions: a broken ac unit with mold/mildew smell in vents (reported to fire department after landlord inaction on 09/18/13), a 10 year expired and empty fire extinguisher, plumbing leaks/no water (kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, tubs, refrigerator, washing machine), unsealed windows (which fall out of their tracks), only one smoke alarm in back hallway (none in bedrooms or kitchen), unidentified/exposed wiring, an open and unsealed attic, a broken front door since move in. to date, market tampa has expressed a willful disregard for tenants in emergency situations, a refusal to provide emergency contact, and willful refusal of communication for resolution. rent is consistently paid on time and no maintenance requests or concerns have been raised by us as tenants other than those which are legally binding by lease and state. after being forced to contact our local fire department on 09/18/13 to verify livable conditions impeded by a gas leak scare, it is clear that intervention is necessary to ensure the immediate safety and comfort of current tenancy. supporting file or photo: fire.jpg submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. maleia crews 727-992-6859 email address: [email protected]
