Description: I have been involved in an aggravating, long-standing dispute with onsite office personnel over what i feel is improper, unethical and perhaps illegal assessment and billing of my monthly water usage. in the last year and a half i have been billed from a low of 500 gal. on 5/17/12 to a high of 2200 gal. on 4/22/13. the disparity of those rates is highly disputable as i am the lone tenant in my apartment and i am absolutely confident that i know my water usage does not vary but by only a handful of gallons from month to month. i have often questioned the reading of and the accuracy of the meter used for my apartment. in my examination of the meter, i found it to be a unit which is measured by the tens of gallons, as the digit on the right has a black background while the four digits on the left have a white background, so a proper reading would have a decimal, for example- 0471.5. on every single one of my invoices from milestone management, they interpret it as 04715, without the tenths decimal, which i find most improper. for seven of the last ten months the meter readings on my monthly invoices did not change and milestone instituted an 'estimated' billing for my usage which has increased my charges by 10 to $12 each month. my being averaged in with the approx. 100-150 other residences at st. james, many who have 3-5 tenants in each apt, is an unfair and unethical practice. i am at my wit's end in trying to get a resolution to my concerns but have no luck in dealing with the manager here. i am hopeful your department may be of assistance to my plight.
