Description: Description of complaint: my air conditioner has broken 30 to 40 times in the 3 years i have been here. they supposedly come fix it usually after days of my complaint and it is always broken within a month or so. i have had to miss many days of work or be late to work because of this and no permanent fix has been made. in the past few months the air conditioner has been leaking water. they come and clean it, but within a week or so, it happens again and worse than before. there is now mold within the walls because of this and i fear for my son's health and my safety. i have told them my concerns and have complained about the water leak multiple times, but nothing gets fixed. all they do is clean it. at the beginning of this month, there was a flood that ruined multiple things in the closet beside the ac unit. today i came from work and there was water everywhere. the water is now in the hall, rooms, and bathroom and going through the walls. i called the office, but got no answer. since it was after hours, i went to the maintenance person's apartment and nobody has come to fix the problem. they have told me not to ever call outside professional help because it was their job to do it and would be my fault if there was further damage. the is mold damage on walls now because of their negligence in not fixing the leak in the ac, but it is not just in my apartment. other neighbors are having the same issue. i have pictures and witnesses who are willing to testify and show the mold they are having to deal with. also, the fire alarms here don't work. the ones that were installed in all the apartments in the past couple of years went off at random times to the point that they told they would disconnect them for us and would tell us to put them back on if we ever got inspected. complainant name: ana saldana phone: 8139198330 email me a confirmation copy of this complaint: yes for an email copy of input, please enter email here: [email protected]
