Description: Wrk13-00527 please see attached letters providing details and reasoning to support my appeal. to department of code enforcement: i am writing this letter to request that the administration fee assessed on my failure to submit an executed certificate of completion and compliance be waived. i would first like to apologize for my mistake. this was the very first permit that i have applied for, and i truly didn't realize or understand that i was required to turn in a certificate of completion. i made sure to post my permit in a front window, and complete the work on time, but i mistakenly thought that was all i needed to do. i feel awful that i didn't turn in the correct paperwork. i am a special education teacher and big part of my job is completing and submitting paperwork in a timely fashion and meeting legal deadlines. i would never have knowingly not complied with a legal requirement set down by the state, and i am very sorry for this oversight. i would also like to request an appeal from a personal standpoint. i am a single parent who just sent a daughter off to college this past weekend. i have borrowed over ten thousand dollars to send her to college, as well as, am making $271.00 monthly tuition payments to her school. this fee would be almost a month of tuition. i am already having a difficult time making ends meet, due to other unforeseen bills, and this would create a hardship for my family. in closing, i am requesting that you see fit to grant my appeal, and know that i have lrened a valuable lesson about permits. i have no one to blame but myself for this, and i wish i could go back in time and do things properly. thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing my case. please feel free to contact me at any time with any further questions...
