I also had a bad experience with Tim Clowser electric, and also sent out by AHS.
They came out in Nov. 2017 as I had no electric in my living room. The tech checked outlets in the room, went outside and said he found problems out there. He played around with the outlet outside and then went back to the breaker box and finally said I was good to go. Again in Jan of this year my electric went out in the living room. I called AHS and had to pay another $75 and this time 2 techs came out one of who was Tim himself. They fiddled around with the outlets in and out and Tim finally told me it is a bad breaker. Problem: they do not make this breaker anymore since the co. is no longer in the U.S. and are prohibited to sell their product here since it is unsafe. He gave me a long line that the breaker box (Pacific something) caused many fires. ( he left me worried that a fire could break out any time!) I need a new breaker box but AHS probably will not allow it, but he would submit it anyway. In the mean time he fixed the breaker temporarily and he thinks he has a breaker that he can use at his home until AHS approved the breaker box or I could afford the $1000. + dollars it would take to replace. He said he is in the area 2 times a week and would just drop by and replace the breaker. He never did. I called and called and he never returned the calls. I finally called AHS to ask them if the contractor had put in for a new breaker box. They told me no but that they would contact him.
Finally, after much persuasion from both me and AHS he put in for the approval. The approval came late Feb and he made an appointment to come out in March. The tech showed up with no panel but said 'the boss' went to buy one and he was going to get prepared. He told me I would be about 3 hours with no heat. It ended up being nearly 7. 'Boss' finally had the panel and dropped it off. The tech installed it and lo and behold they could not put the door on the panel because the hinges are missing. They did not even offer to bring them back and just put the door on the floor. I was just glad to get the heat back on in freezing weather. I do not often use my living room, but went out when it was finally nice to weed whack & found I had no electric. Came in and sure enough the living room is off again, since the outside and the living room are on the same breaker. I then flipped the breaker and it flipped right back off. I started to investigate as to whether or not I had any other receptacles outside and found receptacles that they had taken apart and never even returned for use! Called AHS and they said tough luck, I could pay another $75 and they would send him back out. NO WAY! I paid $75 for a new electrician but so far have not heard from them and it has been about 27 hrs. Disappointed with AHS and they sure need to FIRE Clowser Electric. DO NOT USE! Paid $150.00 in 6 mos. time for nothing. I know it does not sound like much but it is for one who is elderly & on a fixed income.

Do not use this company. They canceled on us 4-times and we went without power in half of our upstairs for 7-weeks. After they rescheduled the 1st three times, the tech said that they needed to order a switch. Over 2-weeks later they sent another Tech who said that he had no idea what the 1st Tech was talking about. In an effort to keep this short, the owner finally came out and said it was a junction box near the attic in the ceiling (BTW - our 17-year old home wouldnt have passed inspection if this is where the junction box was. Its actually in the basement). The owner said that they would have to remove our ceiling to get to it. No way! We got a second opinion. Within 1 hour of the new company being at our house, they fixed the issue. We went 7 weeks without power in half of the upstairs, Clowser canceled 4 or 5 times, gave incorrect information. DO NOT USE THEM, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF because they have no clue of what they doing. The other company, J & A Southpark fixed everything in one hour and indicated that it was very simple to do. Our Home Warranty Company sent Tim Clowser Electric so we will be writing them a letter outlining everything and recommending that they terminate them from their vendor list. We will also be filing a complaint agaist Tim Clowser with the PA Dept of State as well as the Attorney General of PA. This is a horrible electric contractor and they should be held accountable. Thankfully, we had insurance and didnt have to pay out of pocket!
