Very poor experience and we do not recommend!

We paid for job in full at the end of May 2018 and had some areas of poor workmanship brought to his attention immediately after completing the work. He agreed to come back and fix them and seemed understanding about our issues...that was 4 months ago. Everytime we contacted him he would have an excuse "I haven't forgotten about you", "I'm swamped at work", "I had a guy quit"...etc. Finally we were firm (not rude, but very firm that we needed this taken care of as he had guaranteed that he would) with him and got him to commit to coming on Aug 31 and he never showed for his agreed 1200 appointment with us. He stopped responding to calls (they go directly to voicemail), text, email and we even sent letters to his place of business. He blocked my husband and I from his JCS Floor Covering page on Facebook (never did get an opportunity to post a negative review or comment on any of the pictures that he took of our home and posted on there, so I found that very odd). We did reach him about a week after he no showed and stopped responding and reached him with a phone number that was not our own. Needless to say he was very angry by this, but promised to send someone out the next week to fix the issue. Of course he has yet to come and fix the issues...which are ultimately holding up our other home projects. He is not a good individual and I highly suggest you steer clear of him. After seeing some negative reviews on Nextdoor with similar situations recently, I now know I am not the only one. He seems to be a repeat offender in this category.

Better Business Bureau was contacted, but as of October 3, 2018 he has not resolved our issue, despite us being patient and giving him every opportunity to follow through on his commitment (as evidence by waiting patiently since May for him to come back and finish what he told us that he would).

He claims to work by word of mouth and I personally have a hard time writing reviews that may be negative, as I know how hard it is to make a dollar in today's day and age and would hate for someone to lose business because of one person who is unhappy. However, I find it interesting that my story is similar to others who have utilized his services. I feel it is best to warn those looking into his services, to double check if they choose to use this guy and be aware of our situation (as well as others...because there are others with similar experiences) so they can make a well informed decision. Check BBB, get personal references, do your research and if you asked me if I would refer him, I would say "No, and stay far away from him".
