Description: Sr23416 8/19/20152:49 pm hello,i told my leasing office almost 2 weeks ago that i found a rat in my apartment and needed immediate attention to be given to the process of removing the rat and ensuring this would not be an ongoing issue. but, much like my last pest issue, it seems to have been brushed off the shoulder and responsibility has been thrown back on me to resolve this issue. they did not come and try to fix the problem the same day, though they assured me they would. in fact, it took them about 2 days to stop by and throw some glue traps on my laundry room floor. they have made no further attempts to figure out how the rats got in and how to prevent them from returning. now, 2 weeks later, there has been at least 3 rats ive encountered in my laundry room and when my co-tenant spoke with the leasing office today they responded with: if you catch them, we will remove them for you.my pantry and washer/dryer have become impossible to use since i am afraid of having to fight the rats in there. furthermore, since it is a pantry, all of my food in there is obviously inedible due to the rats relieving themselves or eating through it. i also think a portion of this months rent should be returned since the landlord is not meeting their responsibilities or even attempting to do so. this issue has been ongoing since 07/31/15 and the most they have done is wait 48 hours to drop off two glue traps. they have taken no steps to figure out how the rats entered and prevent any future pests from entering. there is a gaping hole in the wall where the dryer and washer connection is and it was bought to their attention before and during this process but nothing has been done to close it. contactregarding contact tiffany shackfirst name tiffanylast name shackphone number 813-504-6931mobile number --email address spokenheart [email protected]
