Description: Description of complaint: my complaint has to do with handicap accessibility. my brother, handicapped and wheelchair bound, rented an apartment here, effective april 15, 2014. during the entire leasing process we were told that the entry door and patio door thresholds would be adjusted to allow easy "roll access" through those doors. these adjustments to the threshold of the doors have not been completed and when we inquired as to why it was not done, my brother and i were told it would be his responsibility financially and he would have to use "their contractor" to do so. this building was constructed in 1991 and it is my understanding that construction from 1991 must provide for handicap accessibility based on the american disability act. there is also only one "handicap" parking space that is being used for another tenant, and my brother was also promised an additional space which has not been done. submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. faye brown email address: [email protected]

Description: Found out windows in my apartment were not sealed correctly letting rain and air in my apartment. mold and mildew are growing on my walls, on my furniture, personal belongings including shoes, clothes, appliances and house decor. can also see mold and mildew growing on my counters, refrigerator and cabinets. contacted the office several time regarding the issue, they sealed windows and bleached my apartment. the problem is that the mildew and mold is growing freely in my apartment and in the air. my apartment and furniture also has a damp wet smell. having previously working for a doctor who specializes in mold, i know the dangers of mold and how it can affect my health. i have attached one picture but have more pictures as well as documents stating the office came in several times to deal with the issue.
