Description: I have two damaged hardwoods that have been approved by the city arborist to be removed. when i had the arborist from the tree removal company come out to price removing those trees, he inspected all the trees in the backyard and indicated that two pine trees were dying because they were rotting out in the center and that while i was taking the hardwoods out it would make sense to go ahead and remove the pines as well. at least one of the pines proposes a danger to my neighbors to the west of me. i would appreciate it if you could come back out and assess the pine trees. by september 9th they will be marked so it will be easy to spot. as i may have mentioned before, my landscape plan calls for replacing the trees removed with a couple of sugar maples. thank you for your help. john adams

Description: We previously applied for a dead, dying or hazardous tree permit with a paper application. it could not be entered into kiva because the sight did not have an address. we would like to have two trees checked. we have applied for a building permit under number blr1-200801623. the first of these trees, a 8"/8"/6" elm (#72, #73, #74 on the survey) on the eastern property line is marked as destroyed on the tree recompense plan. we would like to have it verified that it is not dying because it really looks like it is dying or diseased. it has almost no leaves and many branches are falling off. we would prefer to not pay recompense for a tree that is dead. it is marked with the orange x required for the permitting process. the second tree, an 8" oak (#69 on the survey) is located at the back of the site, in the south east corner, about 30' from the south property line. we do not need to have it removed, but do not want to be held responsible for its death. it looks like it is dying to us. many branches are falling off, and there are very few leaves on just a few branches. we are available to meet with the arborist on site to make sure he is looking at the correct trees. the plans are currently being reviewed by mr. david zaparanick.
