Description: Description of complaint = neighbor has a big above ground pool that hasn't been taken care for a while. pool had green water for a long time algae with bad smell. this morning 01/06/2009 my backyard was completely drowned in that stinky nasty water. the water ran under the fence and inundated my backyard, side yards, and the whole patio around my own inground swimming pool. some of that contaminated water most likely got into my pool as well. the water not only ran through my entire property, but also got to the other side of the block running down to the other street other side of the block into king william circle. i immediately contacted the neighbor who said they had a leak in their pool. i am unsure of that as a leak would not overflow more than 1/2 acre of a property and let the water run to the other side of the block in such a quick way! - matter of minutes, and as soon as i complained the water stopped running. i believe the water was dumped out into the yard as a way of getting rid of that nasty, smelly contaminated water. i spent hours cleaning my patio around the swimming pool with bleach to get the smell out of that area, and this afternoon i will have a pool company test my swimming pool for quality and contamination. i would like to add that i got small frogs in the backyard as well that came with the nasty water from the other side of the fence - probably frogs that were living in that above ground that had not been taken care of. i would like to ask you to assist me in reinforcing the code with that specific neighbor, letting them know that cannot happen again - and that they need to take care of that pool in a much healthy way - not letting get to a point of having contaminated water stored in such a large container pool. i truly appreciate your help and attention to this matter asap. best regards, katia mann seffner, florida 33584 street number = 3213 street name = king william circle apt./lot number = zip code = 33584 nearest major intersection = windhorst and kingsway what road does the location run off of? = kingsway name of subdivision, apartment complex, or mobile home park = no name owner name (if known) = forest pettet address (if known) = 3212 king richard ct, 33584 apt. or lot number = seffner complainant name = katia mann phone = 813-655-9508 email me a confirmation copy of this complaint = yes submitter's email address = [email protected]
