Description: One story dwelling,crawl space,2 car attached garage,12x20 concrete slab on rear with a roof rolling hills,section b,block 6,lot 20 . . . . 6/6/95 carl inspected property for framing and found some problems with the roof framing.i instructed carl that if there were any doubts thatthe framing would need to be reviewed by a licensed engineer.latter recieved a call from mr riser and reiterated that an engineer would have to review.mr riser exspressed his need to drywall and i advised him to have the engineer call me with a verbal report of corrective measures. if the corrections could be seen with the drywall in place there should be no problem but,i did not advise mr riser to go ahead and drywall. 6/12/95 received call from dan matonak.advised me that corrections could be made with regard to the roof framing and could be seen at final.also discussed overspan on rafters and agreed that if every other refter was doubled it would met the live load requirements specified under the code. advised carl to inform the contractor 6/14/95 talked with dan matonak in the am and through crf and dan found that the house was already drywalled and correction were not madeask dan if an alternative design could be used and he would look into it.was later told by paul prodonovich that don riser has scheduled an inspection for pp to check the problem in the field.wkv 6/19/95 met with don riser and paul prodonovich with regard to the over span of the ceiling joist.2x6 joist are over spaned by approximately 1when review for a 20lb live load for attic storage in accordance with the one and two family code(table 7-e cabo 1&2 family).joist run perpendicular to the main rafters and the questionwith regard to bracing of the rafters has been addressed and a report is to be submitted by mr risers engineer. it was the decision of mr prodonovich to allow the rafter to remain as is based on the following conditions. 1.that a condition be placed on the certificate of use and occupancy stating that the attic area is not to be used for storage. 2.that mr riser post the attic with a sign stating that the attic is not to be used for storage 3.where at all possible.rafters are to be doubled at every other rafter to obtain required storage capacity for an attic. mr riser agreed to the above referenced conditions.it was also noted that due to the location of the mecanical systems and ducts that available storage ares in the attic were unlikley.also,if storage platforms were laid in the attic it would require that half of the insulation be removed or platforms would need to be constructed to maintain required insulation. have placed a notice on this permit with regard to the conditioning of the u&o.wkv 6/22/95 photo submitted with sign in attic indicating no storage.picture in file.wkv 7/27/95 received faxed request from don riser for temporary pending correction of stairs.wkv 7/27/95 faxed and mailed temporary occupancy permit.copy in file and reinspection date entered.wkv
