Description: Description of complaint: the person living at 902 tomahawk trail, brandon, is not the owner of the home. it is believed that he or his partner is renting the home and seems to be using the home as his base for his exterminator/pest control company, emergency. it seems obvious that he is using the residential home for business purposes. when the home's garage door is open, it is clear that he is using the garage to store chemicals; perhaps, he is also storing these chemicals in a shed that he has installed in the backyard. i can not verify that. however, i do witness two exterminator trucks ("emergency" appears as the name of the company on the trucks) parked daily/nightly in the driveway; employees meet each week-day morning to load chemicals into the trucks and to dispatch to their work. they leave their cars parked in the home's driveway. indians hills is a residential neighborhood. while using the home as a residence, the renter/exterminator also seems to be using the home in our neighborhood for a business base. i would like to know if what i have observed is legal per county code. even though our homeowner's association is no longer active, our original deed covenant states that "lots and every piece, part and parcel thereof, shall be used for single family residential purposes only." if it is found that this property is being used for purposes not sanctioned by hillsborough county codes, how should this flagrant abuse of residential property be addressed? if it is found that the renter/exterminator is following county code , i publically apologize for practicing the high standards that have made indian hills a comfortable "residential area of the highest quality for the maximum benefit and enjoyment of its residents," as stated in indian hills' original covenants. submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. patricia bishop 685-7404 email address: [email protected]
