Description: Sr26668: 9/9/20159:36 am: good morning!i am contacting you desperate for guidance in how to handle the poor management of my apartment property, hidden river grande (puritan st). in june, the previous management was bought out, and meadow wood property company took over. we have reported immediately to chris willis, the onsite prop. manager, multiple areas of water damage, including leaks (up to 3 inches of standing water), stains, cracks in sagging plaster, unsealed windowsills, and mold growth fears. it has now been 40 days since repair orders were put in and they still have done nothing about it. it continually gets worse. you can see up into the house's interior wall and it leaks in multiple places, soaking down the wall towards an electrical outlet. we have been in contact with christopher willis, the onsite property manager, every week for the last 6 to 7 weeks--only to be told every time that "now we have a roof person, it should be worked on this week." but every week passes and we're back in the office begging for information. at this point, we feel they might be in violation not only of code ordinances sec. 8-115 (f)(4), possibly (f)(9), (10), (11), therefore (g)(6), as well as (g)(4) and (5) -- but also our lease contractual agreements and fl statutes requiring repairs within 7 days of reporting a repair needed! we want to continue paying rent, but we also don't want to be trapped in a damaged unit with no repairs! i have attached an image of only one of many instances of water damage and leaking. what can we do? what should we do? all help is appreciated!
