Description: We are currently living in what we consider a very dangerous situation and are at a standstill in trying to solve the problem. we live in one community that backs up with another community and in the yard(s) directly behind our home are two (2) very large oak trees that are now threatening to fall on our home (bedroom), perhaps while we are sleeping. a very large branch, 1 ' to 2' in diameter, broke off because the tree is dying and winds snapped it off on the property located at 1422 shadow bay lane, brandon, fl 33510. it fell into another oak tree located on the property located next door to that property at 1420 shadow bay lane. by virtue of the severe weight of the limb from the broken tree the other tree is now leaning heavily towards our home. we are very, very worried that our personal lives and property may be at considerable risk and believe that this is a very severe threat to the public in general. we have been in contact with the homeowner at 1422 shadow bay lane and he has tried to contact the owner of the home located at 1420 but the person residing there that states he is a renter and can do nothing. we also have tried to contact the owner of the home located at 1420 shadow bay lane but to no avail. the renter at 1422 shadow bay lane has stated he will contact the real estate office he is renting from but as yet we have heard nothing! the bank listed in public records also does not answer any emails. the owner of the home located at 1422 shadow bay lane is just as worried as we are. we agreed that an arborist should take a look and the owner of 1422 contacted one. the arborist came and after checking out the situation stated that he can do nothing without the owner of the home at 1422's permission because of possible liability issues. must we wait, in constant fear that we may never wake up the next morning. something must be done to correct this before many thousands of dollars in damages occur, not withstanding the fact, some lives may well be in danger! thank you, don and ilona peterson msg, usa, retired 1635 southwind drive brandon, fl 33510 (813) 689-2714
