Description: 09-25-2006 - i inspected 325 karen dr. and observed an abandoned vehicle located in the front carport of the dwelling. the vehicle was in obvious state of disrepair and had an expired georgia license tag from decemeber of 2002. the vehicle was posted and a warning letter was mailed via certified mail to the listed property owner. 09-29-2006 - i called 404-510-4242 and spoke with mr. ronald newsome, the owner of the dwelling. mr newsome stated he would remove the vehicle by 10-9-2006. 10-10-2006 - upon reinspection the vehicle was removed and the noted property violation was corrected.

Description: 10-05-07 - received complaint from a neighbor about the condition of the backyard and vehicles without proper plates at this address. i visited the property with detectives cover and gibbs. i knocked at the front door and rang the door bell but there was no answer. detectives cover and gibbs and myself observed the backyard from the driveway, we did not enter the backyard. i noted one bird (not a chicken) in a cage and 4 small dogs. there was an odor of dog excreta eminating from the backyard. i also inspected the area beyond the backyard fence for evidence of dead animals. i did not see any. i observed the backyard of the property from the neighbor's backyard. the backyard at this address did appear cluttered, unkept, and unattractive. there were several cages and small structures visible. the structures appeared to be a small storage shed and a play structure. 10-08-07 - i reinspected the property and observed the backyard at 4440 pinewalk dr. from the neighbor's deck. 3 small dogs were visible and barking and the yard appeared cluttered. i did not observe or hear any fowl.

Description: 12-27-09 - received email requesting code enforcement investigate siding, deck, & water line issues at this address. 12-28-09 - homeowner lives in ct, current occupants are reportedly renters of 20 years. photographed siding issues, roof gutter issues, & chimney issues. 12-30-09 - drafted letter to homeowner. 1-6-10 - re-inspected the property to locate the water line. the water line is above grade in violation of the international plumbing code. mailed letter to the homeowner. included photos and code sections. homeowner has until 31 january to arrange for repairs or contact me. 1-25-10 homeowner left voice mail asking that i return her call on 1-26-10. she is taking steps to correct the issues. i told her as long as progress was being made the timelimit for repairs would be extended. i also received a phone call from the current tanant of the property and he said he was working to reslove the issues. 2-15-10 i spoke to tenant about the progress of the work. he said he needed to wait until the gas and utility companies marked the lines before the water line could be buried, but that it was in progress. the siding issues would be worked on when the weather permitted. i then stopped at the property later in the day to meet him personally. i wanted to convey to him that the property owner was responsible for making the repairs, not him. there seemed to be a misunderstanding about who was responsible. he said the repairs would be made. 9-16-10 - this property owner brought this property into compliance by rerplacing the siding, gutters, and deck. the property is now in compliance.
