Description: Description of complaint: many hallways and stairwells are not lit- lights are out; completely black. outlets hanging out of walls when stove is on the smoke alarm goes off-wiring is rotten outlets burn out quickly in the entire 3 years living here not one check of electrical units have been inspected nor the heater/ ac unit there is a serious problem with back- ups in the pipes in buildings; sewage leaking from underneath the building from broken pipes onto the yard and into the sidewalks and street the odor of rotten eggs can be sensed outside of all the windows and sliders have cracks all outside decks leading from slider to decks have cracked and peeling paint all drains and gutters have debris, plants and small bushes growing out of them, some buildings have no gutters at all, thus rain pours heavily onto decks below. there is no sealings around windows, doors or sliders, thus all heat and cool heat escape to he outside thus leaving the tenant with high electric bills and insects coming in galore no handrails on many buildings including the building where we reside in/ broken and sharp edges, it was never repaired. no spraying for insects or fleas playground structures are rusted and broken the barbecque pits are rusted and when you cook on it food gets rust on it the water sprinklers are broken and thus it pours full throttle water all over the place unsafe conditions at night because of poor lighting; many lights don't work and have to use flashlight to see. check out the place here at night; and check the dumpster on weekends, pours into parking lot. overall, between the no sealing on windows leaving us with a $250-$300 electric bill when its hot or cold out took us to move away as of this month or so. we felt unsafe here because of this, and of the rotten egg smell in the buildings next to us, the stuffed gutters, the non compliance of fixing things properly in the buildings, the poor and low maintence of fixing things, broken toilets every two weeks due to old rusted pipes in the buildings, not in the ground, but in the fixtures. love to tear up a bathtub to see the pipes in there- am sure they are all rotted even in the toilets. we have pics but cannot download but can show in person; contact us at this email address and we will comply. we believe that park at coventry is a very unsafe place because if a fire ever happened here in a building all would die because there is no building fire alarms anywhere, only smoke alarms inside each apartment which are shorted because of the wiring problems here. there are concerns over the unlit halls and stairs, none or broken handrails. leaks in ceilings but was not fixed or they did not show concern, thus mold could be building up inside the attic area. the heater/ac unit was never inspected( could have gas leaks since we have been here nor the electrical wiring, thus we could be very unsafe here. they stopped spraying for mosquitos and fleas long ago. the gutters are filled with so much debris that the water/rain cannot flow properly. the palm trees are infested with ants throughout the bark, thus having ants come into the buildings, roaches are non stop. broken glas in the gras thus our pets get hurt. they do not follow their own rules, stating that pets need to be on a leash and pick up after your pet, but feces are found everywhere' submitter's contact preference: i wish to remain anonymous.
