Description: Description of complaint: my complaint is that my neighbor had his whole property covered with several layers of brick pavers. so thick you no longer step down to go out of his house. this has caused a flooding issue for us and the neighbor on the other side. he had a pvc deck drain recently installed which sticks under the fence to our property. we called the county once before and were told by the county that we needed to raise our property. we asked your employee how we are supposed to raise our in ground pool? that went no where. with the recent rains our pool is now full of mud. i have channel 8 news coming out to see if i have any remedy. i am also going to contact an attorney this week. i think what my neighbor did was illegal. he did this work without a permit and it was done by an unlicensed contractor who was here from brazil. they took out the county owned sidewalk and driveway apron. neither of which concerns me but it shows how little regard he has for others property. i am only concerned with our flooding issue and after reading county codes and ordinances online i am convinced that i have a viable lawsuit. i do not wish to go down that road because it stinks but i will if i must. i would like to hear what the county has to say about it before i do. i do not think what was done to us was right or legal and telling us to raise our property does not seem to coincide with the county ordinances i read. maybe i do not understand it but that is why i need an attorney. thank you. juanita richey 813 653 2127 submitter's contact preference: i wish to be contacted about this complaint. juanita richey 813 653 2127 email address: [email protected]
