Description: Description of complaint: the land for phase 3 of the new development, the hillandale reserve subdivision is being graded behind my house and several neighbors. the fill dirt was added and graded to about 4 ft above my back yard which is already sloping higher than the front of my house. already we have problems with water coming into the yard, pool area and lanai with heavy rains. i believe that one of the building codes is to "maintain the topography of the land" and it is evident that this was not done correctly. i have contacted jack moore with swfwmd and duane milford pe of emk engineering and they have not responded to how the flooding issue will be addressed other than "it was approved by the county and swmwmd". when someone is standing behind my 6 ft fence on the leveled fill dirt, i can see them from the waist up! we are not only concerned with privacy but with the potential for flooding once homes are built and the water has nowhere to go but down towards my house. i have tried to get authorities to come see for themselves but no response. the next step will be to bring this issue up to 8 on your side. isabella alaisa 813-968-3275 email address: [email protected]
