Description: Message: i live in mandolin reserve, a 5 year old gated community off citrus park drive. ever since i have lived here i have complained to the subdivision board and to the hoa about the limbs of trees in the row coming over the sidewalks. these aren't big trees or limbs but big enough to knock off your glasses and poke you in the eye - which happened to me last week. i walk my dog(s) and in several areas have to keep ducking because the branches go over the sidewalks. i don't know what ordinance, but have been told that limbs over sidewalks must be at least 6' over the walkway. none of my complaining has done any good. if, when i am walking, i take my handy dandy clippers with me and prune those limbs that would hit me in the face if i wouldn't duck, would i be in violation of my homeowner rights? if so, what must i do to cause the boad of directors to cause homeowners to take care of the row trees? what is available to me other than complaining? any legitimate threats of government intervention?
