Description: Date/time sent: 25-feb-2011 at 05:58:35 respond via: e-mail name: lynn chadderton address: 1036 guiles road city, state zipcode: brandon, fl 33511 phone: (813) 601-5966 email: [email protected] subject: business signs around town message: my husband and i have lived in the brandon/valrico area for over 20 years. as the ares has grown so have businesses. we have both noticed, particularly in the last year, home made signs, large flag signs and banners promotoing businesses hanging on trees, railings and stuck pretty much any where. i know the county is out there trying to keep it cleaned up because some weekends it is so bad i can hardly believe it and then a week or so later it seems better. however, there are some bigger businesses that keep large banners, signs and flags up and they stay up. not to single them out, but to use them simply as an example, is bloomingdale radiology. they have a nice, profeesional sign out front. then why do they also need a large, home made sign and two or three flags flapping in the wind? my kids and i walk up and down guiles road picking up trash once a week. i try to do my part to keep our area looking liveable. i just wish businesses were made to do the same.
