Description: We have an oak planted between the side walk and the street that is growing up into a much larger older oak. as a result branches keep dying and falling off and the tree is now growing only on one side. i'd like to remove this tree and replace it two trees that will grow under the large oak canopy perhaps dogwood or cherry that will be more attractive and will eliminate the conflict between the two oaks. we have replaced a 150 year oak that died in our back yard with three trees, a yoshida cherry, a red maple and another larger maple(bringing the total we have planted to 7 since purchasing the house in 1992), so we remain very conscience of maintain the tree canopy.
