Description: Message: i was recently ordered to transfer from original townhome at 13729 sancho court to "upgraded" townhome at 13727 sancho court. both members of management that i spoke to assured me that the unit i was being transferred to was guaranteed to be better than the unit i was currently, but i had to relocate in order for my original unit to be remodeled. the unit i was moved to, 13727, has several problems. the post hold up the canopy outside is propped with a wooden block, the heat is not functioning (emergency maintenance was called the evening of 2/27/08 and came out to the unit but did nothing to rectify the situation). the temperature inside of my unit was 58 degrees. the heat had been turned on at 3pm and by 6:45 (when maintenance arrived) the unit had not warmed. the a/c unit does not turn off by the wall unti, i have to use the breaker to turn it off. management has been informed of this but has not acted to correct it. the stairs in the hallway are uneven. when i notified management of this, i was told that the units were 30 years old and there was nothing that they could do. on the evening of 2/25 i discovered that the oven was not functioning, managment replaced this oven with another one. the replacement oven was cleaned on the surface but theinside of the oven was caked with burned food items. the refrigerator (which management told me would be replaced with a new one) was only "cleaned", as the insides of the refrgerator shelves were black. the upstairs bathroom leaks water underneath the sink and from the hot water knob in the tub. the downstairs bathhroom cabinet has a gap between the wall and shelves. this gap was stuffed with newspaper and painted white. the sliding doors extra security latch is not functioning. last, when the apartment was given to me, there was a stinch throughout entire apartment. i have use two decospheres, air fresheners, a variety of cleaners, and airing out. the odor is still present. i have repeatedly voiced all of these concerns to management and have not received corrective assitance, only patch work. please assist me with this matter, as the inside of my apartment is now just as cold as it is outdoors and the other items mentioned make living here close to unbearable.
