Description: Area: r05 . this notice of violation replaced the previous nov notice written 3/13/14 and 3/25/14. provide plans and permit for converting upstairs attic to living space that includes relocation of toilet to original shower area, installation of new tub, window and vanity, new water heater installed improperly, new cut in hvac split system, several new window, complete kitchen remodel with pantry area, new lighting fixtures, receptacles through out. several three prong receptacles within original posrtion of home testing undergrounded. need to be converted back to two prong or gfci protected and labeled as ungrounded. removal of exclosed porch/room at rear of house. new re-framed patio cover. patio cover beam lacking posts under splices. new siding on right side at bathroom window not installed properly. no overlap a lap siding. exposed electrical along carport. our records show no inspections were performed for added carport and roof re-pitch. expired permit was re activated and no inspections were scheduled. converted garage with masonry fireplace inside has ash clean out door in contact with carpet. during the sited visit on 7/10/14 portions of the plywood sub-floor in upstairs was removed. the opened areas revealed many framing flaws. additional framing members placed over the top of the original ceiling joist to support the second floor living area. plans shall include a complete floor plan, roof plan, electrical plan and framing plan showing details for all bearing walls for the second floor and a load path for roof and floor framing. stamped/wet signed structural calculations from a registered structual or civil engineer will be required for the added second floor whether it is to be permitted for living space or converted back to attic space due to the framing practices revealed in open areas. the masonry chimney has been extended due to the roof re-pitch. it is questionable how this chimney is extended on the exterior. vinyl siding installed on exterior of chimney. removal of all installed dryway that conceals any and all previously un permitted or inspected framing, electrical , plumbing and mechancial work in preparation for inspections.
