Description: Interior work: 300 sq. ft. new tile floors (2) bathrooms, new kitchen tile floor, new kitchen cabinets, overlay walls drywall, new base trim. per chap:atp:hunting ridge historic - scope of work approved as per atp: mitigate violation for work without permit. the house will be painted a non-bright white to match the existing color. the shutters and front door will be painted a light navy blue (behr privileged elite mq5-53). one window opening has been infilled. replacement wood windows will be trimline windows with simulated divided lights with internal and external 7/8 grids with an internal spacer bar. the windows will fit properly within the original opening. in total, there will be 12 replacement wood windows; 6 replacement vinyl windows, and one infilled window opening. original windows in enclosed porch to remain. front: the 4 wood double-hung 6/6 sdl windows installed on the front may be retained as they meet our guidelines. side elevation visible from street: the 2 vinyl basement windows with aluminum wrap may be retained as they are not highly visible. the infilled window opening covered with wood shakes may be retained. wood to be painted to match the rest of the siding. the 4 remaining windows will be replaced. the double hung window will be replaced with a double-hung 6/6 window. the aluminum wrap will be removed, and, if needed, wood window surround repaired. the casement windows will have 6 lights. the shutters must be reinstalled on the double-hung window. rear elevation: the 3 rear windows will be replaced. the 2 double-hung windows will be replaced with 6/6 double-hung windows. the kitchen window will replaced with a paired casement window with 6 lights per window. the aluminum wrap on the window surrounds will be removed and, if needed, the wood surround repaired. side elevation not visible from street: the first floor double-hung window will be replaced with a 6/6 double-hung window, the aluminum wrap removed, and, if needed, wood window surround repaired. the 2 vinyl basement windows with aluminum wrap may be retained. the two 2nd story vinyl windows with grills between glass may be retained, but the aluminum wrap removed, and, if needed, wood window surround repaired. all work to be completed as per plans in chap files. this approval does not set a precedent, and the extant work that does not currently meet chap guidelines will need to meet chap guidelines when replaced in the future.
