Description: The following is the information a citizen submitted using the online form on the hillsborough county code enforcement complaint form. description of complaint = i wish to remain anonymous this complaint applies to an entire pegasus residential apartment community every building on the entire property called evergreen at lofton place. i have sent a letter to the manager of the property over a month ago with pictures telling her that there is a severe problem all over the entire community with each units dryer vents either being fully or partially clogged with lint. each unit has a stackable washer/dryer combo unit in it, and the lint trap is very hard to find, and so most residents don't know how to empty their lint traps. the only reason i know how is because i looked it up online. most of the dryer vents in this property there are some located on the sides of buildings, and some on the roof tops are either partially or fully clogged with lint, and are going to start a fire if residents are not educated on how to empty their lint traps, and the existing lint is not cleared out of the vents. my letter to the manager included a suggestion that she send out a letter explaining to the residents how their lint traps must be emptied and i included instructions for her reference as well on how to do this since she told me that she didn't know how to do it either. it also included an urgent request that all dryer vents in the entire community be inspected, and thoroughly cleaned. she has not responded to date, and nothing has been done about it. i am very worried that one of these buildings, even the one i live in will catch fire as a result. we also just received a notice that the fire marshal was on site doing inspections recently, although he or she clearly passed right by all of the dryer vents, and did nothing about them being clogged. the other day i walked past one on the side of my building that was so badly clogged there was lint just spilling out of it, and tiny little bit of air moving through and that was it. the rest of that air had to have been backing up into that persons apartment. in addition, my own unit smells oddly when i run my dryer. street number = 5418 street name = deerbrooke creek cir apt./lot number = 23 zip code = 33624 nearest major intersection = gunn hwy and hampton park blvd what road does the location run off of? = gunn hwy name of subdivision, apartment complex, or mobile home park = evergreen at lofton place owner name (if known) = pegasus residential address (if known) = 5410 deerbrooke creek cir, 33624 apt. or lot number = complainant name = justin schaefer phone = 8137287883 email me a confirmation copy of this complaint = yes submitter's email address = [email protected]
