Description: Sr50727my mother has been in her home for 43 years and lives directly behind the address in question (2208 tanglewood way, brandon, fl. 33511) and she has become very concerned with matters taking place on that property. the property has always been unsightly, since the current owners moved in, in the latter 1990s. they let the screened porch and gazebo deteriorate, the swimming pool has often not been taken care of and they have a lot of trailers, vehicles and possibly illegal structures in the yard along with the storage of materials, the uses of which my mother and i cannot discern. in the past year my mother has seen a couple of rats and some snakes in her yard and she is not aware of from where they came. a month or so ago the owner of the property put up what appears to be a chicken coop, against the fence on the east side of the back yard. my mother says that she can hear one, possibly more chickens back there, especially with the noise they make when they are laying an egg. this past weekend the property owner began to erect a new structure against the rear (north side) fence, along the entire length of the back side of my mother's fence, that is a wood frame with a metal roof. my mother is concerned because the roofing material does not appear to be attached and moves freely in even a light breeze. my mother's and my concerns are: are there violations of the hillsborough county code present here, particularly pertaining to the keeping of farm animals (chickens) and non-permitted possibly illegal structures?
