Description: Phoenix hill apartments (425 to 435 s campbell): 6 unit apartment building fire repairs. all construction shall comply w/2007 ky. bldg. code. exterior: replacing roof with new engineered roof trusses, sheathing & any fire damaged framing as necessary over units 425-431. new windows in units 425-431. new thermal sheathing & house wrap. as needed, new window trim, soffits, fascia & gutters replaced. unit repairs for #425 thru #429: remove all drywall/insulation on walls & ceilings. fire damaged framing replaced. installing fire-stopping/fire blocking as req'd. fire damaged electrical panels, ducts & wiring replaced. exterior & party wall insulation added. adding back interconnected, hardwired smoke detectors in each bedroom, in the vicinity of the bedrooms & in each stairwell. maintain or provide 1 hr. fire separation between units. new doors, kitchen & bathroom renovation included. mechanical ventilation to exterior req'd in bathrooms. fire caulk any penetrations in separation walls. units # 431, #3433 & 435 will have similiar repairs as needed. electrcial & hvac replacements shall not reduce the engery efficiency of what is req'd per 2009 national engergy code. no approval needed from landmark due to historic site per bob k. on 3-8-13. aw
