We purchased a home in July of 2021 and by August we realized we made a terrible mistake. The builder hired the most incompetent landscaping company to do our yard and in turn we have been dealing with severe drainage issues. After several months and thousands of dollars spend on both ends to try and slow down the water we have come to realize the builder is either not capable of understanding why we are frustrated or genuinely doesn’t care. It’s been brutal being the joke of the neighborhood but like all things this too shall pass. Since we have been in this house (less than a year) we have had to remove several dead trees that BJ Fisher and Gary Laton refused to remove, we have had to extend our patio simply to avoid the sludge and mud that we have since most of our back yard cannot or will not grow grass, and we have had to deal with several cracks in the ceilings (mostly garage), crown moulding cracks, nails protruding through the walls, the moulding on the bottom of the floors has several issues, the shower floor cracked and we were left for months with no access to the master bathroom shower. We have water pressure issues to this day, we had the wrong shower door installed and we didn’t know until after we signed for the house and realized that was a bait and switch. There have been a lot of issues and most were small and easily fixable, but what is not a small issue and will cost us even more to fix is the hack job his landscaping company did to our yard. It’s appalling that after Gary gets your money he ghosts you or tells you people will come out and fix things and don’t. Right now we finally put signs in our front yard to warn others of how important it is to make sure you buy homes from people that stand by their work. This man and his terrible contractors have cost us too much money and it’s very sad. Our first house as married couple and it was a huge regret to say the least. If you want to be treated terribly this is the person for you. The sad part is that Gary is actually very respectful to your face but he just never seems to go through with anything he says. We have been waiting since March to get this shower door fixed again since he refuses to put in a proper door, but I guess now he isn’t going to respond and that speaks volumes about his character. You can be kind and polite all day long but if you can’t or won’t get your contractors to make things right then your word is as useless as the manure in the fields.
