The company website says that they have had zero lost time injuries in 25 years; however I was a project manager on a project that utilized E&E Welders, in 2015, where a welder was injured with a pn industrial grinder. He required medical treatment and could not return immediately to work. As I understood it, E&E management, informed the injured worker that he would have to submit to a post accident drug screen and that if it was discovered that he had in his system, illegal drugs or alcohol, that he would be personally responsible for all treatment costs. He denied the test, and was discharged, leaving any additional treepatment up to him. To my knowledge, the accident was never reported, on an OSHA 300. I did inquire as to whether he (the welder) had been pre-employment drug screened; and the president of the company said no. As I recall, the company felt as though he couldn't pass a drug screen, pre-employment; so he was not tested. #eeindustrialservices
