Jay Jack - 2018 Feb 26
At the suggestion of our own legal advisors and, believe it or not, counsel for the contractor, we are placing this warning (100% factual with all statements supported by fact and witnessed statements) with multiple sites in regard to our dealings with Cedar Hill Construction and the movement and establishment of our manufactured home at our new location in a beautiful park in Martinsburg, WV. Since we will be signing documents prohibiting further disclosure of said facts and issues, we are placing this before said signing as a warning ng to any new customers and a wake-up call to anyone who has doubts regarding possible issues in their own dealings with Mr. Joseph M Price and Cedar Hill Construction. The following shall be made in bullet points, describing as briefly as possible, the multiple events which occurred over the months between signing the initial move contract on October 19th, 2017 and the conclusion of dealings with this individual on Monday, February 26, 2018. There is no speculation or conclusions drawn, but rather, only fact presented for you to draw your own conclusions. We do, however, make the sole recommendation based upon our own experiences that we would not EVER do business, nor recommend anyone do business with Mr. joseph Price or Cedar Hill Construction.
My apologies for the length of this document, however, we wished to make it as complete as possible, providing all pertinent information so that those who have had previous dealings with Cedar Hill Construction, or those contemplating utilization of this company for current or a future project may consider our experiences before making a choice as to service providers. – further information will not be issued after 1:30pm, on Monday, 2/26/2018, as per the expected restraints associated with a binding agreement.
Webster’s Dictionary =To defraud is defined as, “To deprive of some right, interest, or property, by a deceitful device; to withhold from wrongfully; to injure by embezzlement; to cheat; to overreach; as, to defraud a servant, or a creditor, or the state; - with of before the thing taken or withheld.” You may take these words into consideration of the following experiences with Mr. Joseph Price dba Cedar Hill Construction to draw your own conclusions:
• The initial contract to move our manufactured home from Halifax, PA to Martinsburg, WV was signed on October 19th, 2017 but the home itself still is not ready for occupancy on February 26, 2018 due to multiple excuses offered by Mr. Price and Cedar Hill Construction. Over 4 months in total.• At this initial meeting, Mr. Price asked if we minded if he smoked with us in the office. As my wife has severe asthma, our answer was a clear and concise, “Yes, we mind, as Yvette is an asthmatic with an under-developed left lung.” He chose to smoke anyway, and at our most recent meeting on February 16th, 2018 which was 3-hours in length, caused my wife several days of severe asthma attacks, difficulty breathing and deterioration of her health into bronchitis once again. She had been doing well prior to this meeting, having other issues which were being addressed. Currently, I administer a rescue inhaler when necessary and monitor her breathing, each night while she sleeps.
• Mr. Price offered blame for the surface of concrete footers not being perfectly smooth for pier foundations for the structure. In what world are concrete surfaces rendered as perfectly smooth. Having been at the pour and installation of countless concrete pouring’s at sites throughout the Eastern Panhandle with my father, a professional construction superintendent with an excellent reputation to everyone he worked for and with, I never have seen a perfect concrete surface…
And Mnay, Mnay more abusive interctions!
