Description: Install 795 sq ft partially enclosed paint spray canopy in rear yard of existing office fabrication building for dmi steel. canopy enclosure is steel construction w/ conc foundation. fire inspector john blaise on 8/18/09 completed a fire inspection with russell bradley from dmi steel manufacturing 528 west 3rd street. during this fire inspection an illegal spray painting operation was found at this site. this business sprays flammable liquids onto steel beams and other construction materials. this customer was advised that he is required to obtain a permit for spray finishing operations that would include the installation of a spray booth that meets all code requirements including proper fire protection.
