I rent a condo from the owner and the radiator in the bedroom sprung a leak. An appointment was scheduled on a 2/10/18 at 9am and the time was confirmed twice by the owner, who notified me. Cesar Carpio and his assistant from Plumex Plumbing & Heating showed up at 11am. No apology was offered. When I reminded them that the appointment was at 9am, the plumber blamed it on the parking. Of note, their office is a few blocks away from my building. Cesar and his assistant proceed to do work and then left without saying anything. I had to call the owner to find out what was happening. They finally returned around 45 minutes later without any explanation. Neither Cesar nor his assistant communicated with me the entire time they were in my home. When the job was over, my bedroom was full of smoke. According to Cesar, he could do nothing about this and it would resolve in time. I advised Cesar that he should have educated me about what to expect prior to doing the job so that I would not be surprised. I told him that I have asthma and that I am sensitive to things like this. He told me that he told the owner of my unit and was not required to tell me. I explained to him that the owner did not tell me and that since he was in my home for the past few hours performing the service that he should have told me himself. He told me that since the owner of my unit was paying him and I wasn't, that he did not consider me his customer. He became angry when I told him that I would post a review on Yelp about his services and lack of customer service. When I asked him to leave my home he did not. He stood there for several minutes, looking at me in a menacing manner, as if he was going to do something to do. His assistant stood there as well, not moving. I had to tell them two more times, loudly, to get out. I was hoping that I would not have to call the police. He walked out, calling me a "b*tch" and a hateful racist term as he did. Unprofessional and menacing.
