In 2018 Nylund Homes Inc. bought and had Nylund Inc. (President of both Rod Nylund), remodel a 1979 mobile in Silverlake, WA. which Nylund Homes Inc then sold in 2019. Prior to the remodel, the mobile home was total junk and it should have been torn down. But it appears that they decided instead to coverup latent damage with new vinyl and floor sheathing, on top of rotted soaking old floors in both bathrooms and utility room. New sheathing and three tab were put on rotted rafters.
At our request, L and I came out to check their work, mold was found through out both bathrooms and utility room. L and I inspection date: Oct 26 2019 permit # FP3305099 at 110 Stout Road, Silverlake WA 98645. L and I found that there were no permits pulled for any of the major work they did other than to turn on the electricity.
There is an active lawsuit filed in Cowlitz County Superior Court against Nylund Inc by us, the purchasers of the mobile home at 110 Stout Rd., Silverlake WA. filed Mar 16, 2019.
If you look under Homepath 110 Stout Rd., Silverlake WA you will see pictures of the mobile home before the "remodel" by Nylund Inc. Then look under Redfin and see what it looked like when listed. This is what we saw when we bought it. Turns out, it is total junk and toxic! Between Nylund Inc and our home inspector, they have made my retirement by the lake hell!
I haven't said anything until recently because our attorney asked me not to. I have tried, but it is no longer working for me.
My wife and I would have been happy in our 79 mobile home if Nylund Inc would have done the work with pride and professionalism instead of seemingly with thought only to the almighty dollar making it "look" good when it really wasn't under all the new paint, floors and roof. Because of the presence of mold in the house to an unknown extent, the damage that should have been fixed already, and the fact that the L and I inspector said it needed to be decapitated for the roof to be fixed right, we have determined it is not cost effective to try to repair this 1979 mobile home that we purchased in May of 2019 and have not moved into yet, 2+ years later!!
