First things first, the five star review is written by someone with a very rare first name that happens to be the same name as Bill Feltes daughter. Now, after arriving two hours late and before starting to work, Bill begged me to write a review because he takes pride in his work. After talking to him for 5 minutes I knew it was a mistake, but he was the sub the plasterer hired. I swear dude was strung out in something serious. Just searched him on google and hes been to jail for hit and run, and the article mentions a methadone clinic. look it up. Should have never let him in my house.
He said many times that this wasnt his first rodeo, yet I really have my doubts after looking at the finished product.
As the work began, and Bill and his partner entered, our home began to smell like cigs. Then, out of their smoke infested truck came drop cloths to make sure the smell covered our entire house. He spilled his drink on my carpet and slate floor and let it lay until I pointed it out. They didnt bring a shop vac or sweeper and relied on using mine... what a joke. Once the drop cloths were laid, Bill told me he needed a smoke break. I told him he needed to hang some board.
Finally, about the work, and I have done some drywall work, should have done this but didnt have the time. Bill didnt use a utility knife and insteqd would hang a sheet that didnt quite fit and trim it, in my finished house, with a rotozip...blowing dust everywhere. After I asked him not to use it anymore he opened my front door, with the door opened and ran the rotozip 1 foot from the door. Then, against my wishes, fired it up in the house one more time. Screws are buried through the drywall, every single corner of every sheet is protruding and snapped, the seams are really rough because of the rotozip. There are hole in the drywall in the middle of the ceiling.
I ended up tossing them out of my house after the half butt clean up they did. Do not hire Bill, if he shows up because someone subbed him, send him home. Sad that this guy said hes been doing this for 20 years. He should really find something hes better at or learn to take pride in his work.
Maybe, the job is so roughly finished because the plaster guy can cover it... something tells me some of this will be redone by the plaster guy before he starts his work.
Bill if you are reading this, you told me it would take 1.5 hours, it took 4. You were supposed to be here at 1030, got here at 1. Thanks for being the reason the night before Thanksgiving I had to clean for 4 hours. I have two young kids 6mos and 3years, they should not be exposed to tgat kind of dust or second hand smoke in their own home.
