Description: (cummins boise cng/lng mechanic shop) fire sprinkler system used for area increase, for repair garage, and for fire area. to convert a diesel mechanic shop to a compressed natural gas (cng) and liquefied natural gas (lng) shop in addition to a diesel shop. work is to include two new openings in existing exterior tilt-up concrete panels for new exterior doors, steel columns at those new openings to resist out-of-plane lateral loads, upgrading an existing interior wall to comply as a 1-hr fire barrier wall, constructing a new 1-hr fire barrier wall, steel beams and columns to support added roof top mechanical equipment, new 24 wide by 36 high louver openings in existing exterior tilt-up concrete panels located above existing overhead doors, and a steel rack to support the new boiler. new hot water type unit heaters, new exhaust fans, and a make-up air unit will be provided. a new boiler will serve the new unit heaters. special inspection is required for bolting and for welding. the work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, with the structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. a gas detection system will be provided that will provide audible and visual signals, will deactivate heating systems, and will be interlocked with the mechanical ventilation system. the fire sprinkler system is required to comply with nfpa 13 and the alarm system is required to comply with nfpa 72 as regulated by the fire department. **cjw
