After ripping out the old units, Hauptman did not show up for work numerous times as promised and this was after we gave him $5200!
Making matters worse, when we would contact him asking where he was, he wouldn’t respond via phone or text.
Completely unprofessional.
After he didn’t show up for the job for the FIFTH TIME, my husband and I fired him.
He then became really nasty and vowed to retaliate against us and boy did he ever!
He contacted one of his buddies at my town’s building department and LIED to them that we were using an unlicensed plumber. Fortunately we were able to clear that up immediately.
He also lied that he was a subcontractor with SavinoPro and I only discovered the lie when I spoke to SavinoPro!
After firing Hauptman, we were advised by the county and Consumer Affraids to file a police report which we did.
Thank God I put the $5200 on my credit card and was able to successfully dispute the charge.
What’s sad is I would never want to hurt anyone’s livelihood but after he lied about us, I felt compelled to warn others about this vindictive person. Be careful
