Description: Installation of new diesel fire pump in accordance with nfpa 20 in an existing accessory out-building, formerly used as a salt shed. pump to be used to provide an automatic water supply to the existing dry standpipe systems in two residential high-rise structures on separately deeded lots, but under common ownership - evergreen tower @ 2393 woodward st. and plaza tower @ 2400 tremont st., permit also includes installation of underground fire service in accordance with nfpa 13 from the tap in woodward st to the fire pump, and from the pump to the standpipe connection in the basement levels of both buildings, as well as all modifications to the existing manual dry systems required for the conversion to automatic wet in accordance with nfpa 14. all six existing standpipes (3 in ech building) will be extended to new roof hydrants and will be used to supply automatic sprinkler in both buildings. separate building and zoning permits required for the conversion of the existing salt shed for use as a pump house, including raising the roof of the existing structure. see also admin permit #604194 issued for 2400 tremont st to document the work done on this permit applicatble to the plaza tower. separate permits required for all electrical and plumbing work.
